Needville ISD grading system procedures are being reviewed due to Covid-19. We are monitoring student progress and completion of assigned curriculum. Our goal is for every student to show proficiency to ensure they are prepared academically for the next grade level or graduation. At this time students need to continue to complete assignments through home-based instruction whether it be google classroom or paper packets.
I know that many of you have concerns about grades, credits, graduation, etc. It would be premature to state any details about what we will do since we are still meeting to decide.
Please be patient with us as we work through this unprecedented event and rest assured we will work extremely hard to make sure each and every student will be afforded the opportunity to be successful.
I will communicate with all as soon as we make firm decisions on these issues.

Dear Needville school-community,
Needville ISD will extend the closure of all campuses with an indefinite return date for the 2019-20 school year. Governor Abbott has announced today that school buildings shall be closed through May 4, 2020. Based on that Executive Order, we wish to embrace the challenge of continuing the home-based instructional process for a successful completion of the 2019-20 school year, whether we return to "normal school" in May or not. If it is determined that we will resume normal operations, it will be announced one week prior. Continue the parent/teacher/campus communication and we will work through this COVID-19 pandemic TOGETHER. This truly is a first for all of us!
Please be safe. Wash hands regularly, disinfect living/working areas, adhere to the social distancing/small grouping requirements and isolate yourself if you are feeling any symptoms. It is up to all of us to stop this virus from spreading!

Dual Credit classes from WCJC begin today online. Students should check their WCJC email for more information from their instructors on accessing course information.
If you come up to school and have not tuned in a schedule, you should already have yours written down. We are open from 8 am to 1 pm.
If you come to the HS to pick up packets, please follow the directions of the administrator and stay at least 6 ft apart from each other. There are markers outside the front door to assist. Only 1 person should come to the office.
Assignment packets for those high school students who dropped off schedules Monday will be ready to pick up today!
Information on how to access transcript requests and scholarships can be found on the high school website under the Students Tab. Information on dual credit classes for this year can be found under the Students Tab in the College and Career Center. All Edgenuity courses have been opened for students to continue working.
Thanks to everyone for your patience today! Handing out packets for 8 different classes for the volume of students that showed up was not anticipated! We will work on the students request that were not filled and we will have those ready Thursday and/or Friday! Go Bluejays!

Needville ISD to suspend normal operations through April 10, 2020
Needville ISD has announced that it will extend the suspension (closure) of normal district operations through Friday, April 10th due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Greater Houston area continues to see an increasing number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 and health officials report that this number is expected to continue to increase as more testing is made available.
District leaders are planning for long-term delivery of instruction in this unprecedented situation. Please continue to monitor your email and visit the District website for more information.
